The Personal Improvement Program
The Personal Improvement Program (PIP) is the active process that lies at the heart of the ModelGolf teaching system. Based on information you provide at the outset and an initial analysis of your swing, the PIP is both a roadmap to improvement and a record of your progress.
The Personal Improvement Program gives you information, analysis, recommendations, and tools for improving your performance, customized to your specific physical characteristics, skills, and objectives. The program constantly evolves as you improve.
The Personal Improvement Program consists of four parts:
- Summary: An overall evaluation of your general swing strengths and weaknesses.
- Analysis: A detailed analysis of your swing, compared to your ModelPro.
- Improvement: A planned approach that prioritizes your errors and provides a customized practice program.
- Tracking: A fully documented history of your improvement.
The ModelGolf website: Your portal to improvement
ModelGolf students can log in to the ModelGolf site at any time to work on their Personal Improvement Program. This is a unique advantage of the ModelGolf system: Because of the depth of customized instructional content online, including historical analysis of their swing improvement, ModelGolf members can sustain the learning process away from the fairway.
Students can see at a glance how well they are progressing in different areas of their improvement program. They can compare their overall swing score, performance score, and position score to their personal ModelPro, and see how they've improved since their first analysis.
For a detailed breakdown of your overall score, your swing is compared to your ModelPro in all performance areas (like distance, direction, etc.), as well as at each of ten teaching positions. The program indicates the severity of your errors so you can prioritize your program. It provides detailed instructions on how to improve in that area, and drills you can do. Recommendations are customized to your playing habits and practice frequency.
